North East Finalists
14 from the North East reach National Training Awards shortlist
Fourteen organisations and individuals from the North East have reached the finals of this year’s National Training Awards. The awards are the premier accolade for training in the UK, celebrating the outstanding success of individuals and organisations.
This year’s Awards have shown a 28% increase in entries with 727 entries received. They have now been whittled down to just 232 finalists.

The region’s winners will be revealed at a ceremony held at the Hilton Gateshead on Tuesday 23rd September.
The National Training Awards’ premier sponsor is City & Guilds and they are supported by Investors in People. The Awards are organised on behalf of the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills by UK Skills, a not-for-profit organisation which champions vocational skills and learning for work.
Chair of the North East judging panel, Jackie Axelby, said: “The National Training Awards have been celebrating training that transforms individuals and organisations for more than 20 years. This year the number of entries has more than doubled and the standard in the North East remains very high. I congratulate all the finalists who have made this year’s shortlist.”
