About Us
The National Training Awards are managed by UK Skills on behalf of the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills in England and in partnership with the Department for Employment and Learning Northern Ireland, the Welsh Assembly Government, Skills Development Scotland and the Scottish Government.
UK Skills is a not-for-profit organisation, established in 1990 to manage the delivery of innovative, high profile competitions and awards. This showcases excellence and demonstrates how exceptional performance improves individual and organisational success in the UK.
As well as managing the National Training Awards, UK Skills manages the following:
- The delivery of the Workforce Development Awards, on behalf of National Employers Service
- WorldSkills UK competitions - regional and national skills competitions in around 70 vocations
- Team UK for international skills competitions, EuroSkills & WorldSkills, the biggest international skills competition in the world
- WorldSkills London 2011 - The biggest international skills competition is coming to London from 5-8 October 2011 at London's ExCeL, Docklands
